Zibouni

Double-breasted zimbouni made of thick white cotton cloth. The garment is adorned with white embroidery and threaded beads.

Zipouni (jacket) made of cotton fabric (alatzia, (turk. alaca) with dark blue and yellow stripes. The back and front are made of a single piece, with no stitching at the shoulders, and there is a vertical v-shaped opening in front, fastened at the bottom with two loops. There is also a pocket on the right side of the front part. The back is made of two pieces, the uper of the same cotton fabric as the front part, and the lower of white cotton fabric.There is also a short straight collar. The long straight sleeves are sewn vertically to the body and have slits near the end. The jacket is entirely lined with cotton material. The front opening, the join of the two sleeves, the straight collar and the opening of the pocket are decorated with black seiritia (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit).

Around the neck there is a short strait colar. The long narrow sleeves are sewn vertically to the body and have v-shaped cutting near the marrow end. The jacket is entirely lined with cotton material. The front opening, the join of the two sleeves and their cuttings, as well as the straight collar are decorated with black gaitania (braids) and seiritia (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit).

At the back of the neck there is a triangular flower pattern made also of twisted thread.

Zibouni (short sleeved overgarment) is made of black woollen material. Is has slits at the sides and a semi-circular opening on the breast, and is fastened by a metallic eyelet at the bottom of the front. The long, narrow sleeves are sewn vertically to the body, and have a small opening at the end, from the wrist up. This part is lined with white cotton material. The opening and hem at the breast, and the finish at the bottom, are decorated with twisted black threads. Also, the sleeve openings are trimmed with a thin black seiriti (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit) around the edges. The zibouni is lined with cotton material woven on the loom.
