Description:
Yelekkin (waistcoat, turk. yelek) made of black woollen fabric at the front and black velvet at the back, with a vertical opening at the front. The back and the sides are made of a single piece of black velvet. The vertical slit in the middle of the back was cross-fastened by a ribbon (missing). Above it, there are two birds embroidered with orange, blue and green threads and two embroidered spirals which end to an orange bud. The front consists of two equal pieces of black woollen fabric. At the bottom are button-holes trimmed with gaitania (braids), to which are attached loops made of gaitania. The buttons are made of twisted braids. There is a semi-circular opening at the neck, around the inside of which is a striped seiriti (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit). On the right side is a pocket embroidered with green and blue threads and above it an embroidered blue and orange bird. The whole front part of the yelekkin is decorated with braids. The yelekkin is fully lined with white cotton material.
