Description:
Yelekkin (waistcoat, turk. yelek) made of blue velvet at the front and black velvet at the back. In the middle of the back is a vertical slit, which is fastened by a yellow ribbon. The front consists of two pieces of felt of the same size that are crossed, leaving a semi-circular opening at the neck. On the right side there is a vase-shaped pocket made of green velvet and above it an embroidered bird made with yellow and green thread. The yelekkin is cross-buttoned, with obliquely set buttons that are secured on the inside by loops attached to a black wool braid. Both the buttons and the button-holes are made of black gaitania (braids) and seiritia (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit), and are attached to the two front panels, thus making it possible to cross the Yelekkin on either side. Around all the openings there is embroidery of orange thread.
