Description:
Yelekkin (waistcoat, turk. yelek) made of black woollen fabric at the front and black velvet at the back, with a vertical opening at the front. The back and the sides are made of a single piece of black woollen fabric. At the front are button-holes trimmed with gaitania (braids), to which are attached loops made of gaitania. The buttons are made of twisted woollen braids and end with tassels. There is a semi-circular opening at the neck, around the inside of which is a striped seiriti (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit). On the right side is a vase-shaped pocket made of black velvet embroidered with green and orange thread. The whole front part of the yelekkin is decorated with braids. The yelekkin is fully lined with white cotton material. On the inside there is a stamp writing: ‘‘Orfanos & Zivanaris LTD’’.
