Yelekkin (waistcoat, turk. yelek) is made of black velvet at the front and striped multi-coloured fabric at the back, with a triangular opening at the front. The back and sides are made of a single piece of black velvet. The vertical slit in the back is cross-fastened by a ribbon of green colour. The front consists of two equal pieces of black velvet. At the bottom are button holes trimmed with gaitania (braids), to which are attached loops made of gaitania and buttons braided of threads and ending in tassels. There is a triangular opening at the neck, around the inside of which is a striped seiriti (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit). On the right side is a vase-shaped pocket made of three different fabrics, white, pink and blue colour. The yelekkin is fully lined with white cotton material, and the opening at the front is lined with black velvet. On the inside there is an unreadable blue stamp.

Yelekkin (waistcoat, turk. yelek) is made of black velvet at the front and at the back, with a vertical opening at the front. The back and the side parts are made of a single piece of black velvet. The vertical slit in the middle of the back is cross-fastened by a ribbon of blue colour. Above it, there is an embroidered lozenge pattern with two spirals. The front consists of two equal pieces of black velvet. At the bottom are button holes trimmed with gaitania (braids), to which are attached loops made of gaitania and buttons braided of threads and ending in tassels. There is a semi-circular opening at the neck, around the inside of which is a striped seiriti (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit). On the right side is a vase-shaped pocket made of green velvet fabric and above it an embroidered bird of green and orange colour. All the front part of the yelekkin is decorated with braids, seiritia and threads are used to create a variety of decorative motifs, scrolls, spirals, lozenges and wickerwork embroidery which fill every surface. The yelekkin is fully lined with white cotton material, and the opening at the front is lined with black velvet. On the inside there is an unreadable blue stamp.

Yelekkin (waistcoat, turk. yelek) is made of cotton fabric, alatzia (turk. alaca), with blue and red stripes. Half of the back is from the same fabric but the lower part is made of white cotton. The sleeveless yelekkin, the front and back of which are made of a single piece of material, has a vertical opening on the breast, slits at the sides, and a small upright collar. It is lined with white cotton material, and the collar and vertical opening are decorated with black thread. They are also used to form a braided strip at the vertical opening, with eighteen loops on the left side to receive the blue plastic buttons on the right. On the left side there is a small internal pocket. Its opening is decorated with yellow thread.

In the middle of the back is a vertical slit, which is fastened by a blue ribbon. The front consists of two pieces of felt of the same size that are crossed, leaving a semi-circular shaped opening at the neck. On the right side there is a vase-shaped pocket made of the same fabric embroidered with black threads. The yelekkin is cross-buttoned, with obliquely set buttons that are secured on the inside by loops attached to a black wool braid. Both the white plastic buttons and the button-holes are attached on black braid and seiritia (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit), and are attached to the two front panels, thus making it possible to cross the yelekkin on either side. All around the openings there is triangular pattern embroidered with black threads. The inside is reinforced with white cotton material.

Over the pocket there is embroidered decoration made of green, orange and blue threads and the year 1912. The yelekkin is cross-buttoned, with obliquely set buttons that are secured on the inside by loops attached to a black woollen braid. In the middle of the back is a vertical slit, which is fastened by a black ribbon. The front consists of two pieces of cotton fabric of the same size, which are crossed, leaving a semi-circular opening at the neck and a small straight collar. On the right side there is a vase-shaped pocket, half of which is made of alatzia and the other half of dark mauve silk fabric. The yelekkin is cross-buttoned, with a series of buttons set obliquely that are secured on the inside by loops attached to a black braid. Both sides have the buttons and the button-holes attached to both front panels, thus making it possible to cross the yelekkin on either side. All around the openings there is black braid. All the openings are embroidered with red, yellow and green threads. The waistcoat is reinforced inside with white cotton material. On the inner side there is a stamp with inscription: ‘‘Paragogos (Producer) – Georgios Filis – Lefkosia (Nicosia) – Kypros (Cyprus)’’.

On the right side there is a vase-shaped pocket made of the same fabric. The yelekkin is cross-buttoned, with obliquely set plastic blue buttons that are secured on the inside by loops attached to a black braid. The buttons and the button-holes are attached to both front panels, thus making it possible to cross the yelekkin on either side. All around the openings there is black braid. The inside is reinforced by white cotton material.
