Yelekkin (waistcoat, turk. yelek) made of black woollen fabric at the front and black velvet at the back. In the middle of the back is a vertical slit, which is fastened by a yellow ribbon. Above the slit there is a rectangular pattern made of orange and green thread, and two green spirals ending with an orange bud. The front consists of two pieces of felt of the same size, which are crossed, leaving a semi-circular opening at the neck. On the right side there is a vase-shaped pocket made of black and green velvet embroidered with orange and blue threads. The yelekkin is cross-buttoned, with obliquely set buttons that are secured on the inside by loops attached to a black woollen braid. Both the buttons and the button-holes are made of black braid and seiritia (cords, ribbons turk. şirit/şerit), and are attached to both front panels, thus making it possible to cross the yelekkin on either side. At the bottom there is zig-zag embroidery of green and orange threads.

On the inner side there is a stamp with inscription: ‘‘Paragogos (Producer) – Georgios Filis – Lefkosia (Nicosia) – Kypros (Cyprus)’’.
